Key Takeaways from the Workday Readiness Workshop #3
Greetings NSU Community,
Workday Security is advanced enough to keep your data secure but easy enough to configure on multiple levels. Maintaining Approvals and setting up Delegations ensures the right user has access to the business processes and that they kick off and are properly routed.
- Security Roles: With Configurable Security, you can define what a user can see and do in Workday. The Security Role assignments control what data a user can view too.
- User-Based vs. Role-Based: Workday creates an environment to easily assign Security Roles. Assignable Security can be configured with enterprise-wide access or linked to a specific position.
- Approvals: A Designated user will be assigned to specific tasks and business processes with the ability to approve, deny, or send back an inbox item.
- Delegations: Managing Delegations is straightforward in Workday. With different Delegation Types, you can reassign your business process actions to another user without removing ownership while maintaining a clean audit trail.

Ultimately, I acknowledge that change can be challenging, especially as we transition to Workday. That's why we have the Change Management team and us, the Change Navigators, providing helpful content to simplify the transition. Your comments, questions, concerns, or excitement are always welcome during the implementation process. Feel free to reach out to the change navigators or use the dedicated email address to submit your inquiries at workday@nsu.edu.
Thank you for your ongoing support as we embark on this exciting journey with Workday!
Best,
