Introduction to the Workday Project - Project Sponsors
Dear Norfolk State University Community,
Following President Dr. Javaune Adams-Gaston’s announcement, I am honored to serve as an Executive Project Sponsor for our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation, alongside my colleague, Dr. Gerald Hunter, Vice President for Finance and Administration. Our role is to ensure this initiative delivers clear value to every employee.
What's Coming
Over the next several months we will configure and launch the Workday HCM suite, including:
- Core HR & Benefits – a single source of real-time employee data and self-service tools
- Recruiting & Onboarding – faster, paper-free hiring and orientation experiences
- Talent & Performance – modern goal setting and feedback features to support your professional growth
These cloud-based, mobile-ready modules will replace decades-old systems, reduce manual paperwork, and give you secure access to information, anytime, anywhere.
How We Will Keep You Informed
Transparency and collaboration are central to our approach. Please bookmark our project website https://workday.nsu.edu, where you will find:
- Project timeline and milestones
- Frequently asked questions
- Opportunities for Future Events
- Training schedules and job-aids
Regular email updates, project website updates, and feedback surveys will begin this summer, so we can track progress and share insights throughout the journey.
Your Involvement Matters
Your expertise is vital. When members of the project team reach out for input whether to confirm current processes or to pilot new functionality please lend your voice.
Thank you for your enthusiasm and partnership as we take this important step forward.
With appreciation,
Justin Moses, J.D., Ed. D.
